Catholic Youth Sports
The Holy Family Athletic Program offers students numerous opportunities to involve themselves in organized athletics. In addition to an extensive Physical Education and Health Program, Holy Family also offers organized sports for students. Holy Family is a member of the Catholic Youth Sports. There are two divisions in the CYS program.
The Grade School Division and a Middle School Division. Both divisions are operated by volunteer parents from the school and the Diocese. CYS tries to instill self-esteem, responsibility, discipline, and confidence into each athlete.
As of the 2018-2019 school year, the Orlando Region, which is comprised of Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties, will be split into Northern & Southern Regions. Holy Family will be a part of the Southern Region. For more information, please see the link below:
CYS SPLIT REGIONS DOC
The grade school program is a developmental league that features equal playing time and a focus on the child being introduced to various sports with a primary mission to insure the children have fun. The grade school program attempts to offer soccer, basketball, flag football, girls lacrosse, and track. In third grade, children begin to learn more about competition as tournaments are introduced into many of the sports. This will help them prepare for the more competitive middle school division.
The middle school program at CYS is a competitive league made up of the 12 Catholic Schools in the Greater Orlando area. Students in grades 5 - 8 compete against each other in basketball, soccer, track and volleyball. The champions of the Orlando area will also be given an opportunity to compete for a Diocese of Orlando Championship in certain sports.
