Immunizations
Holy Family School primarily serves parishioners of Holy Family Church. Our school
is for practicing, believing Catholics who want their children to know, love, and serve
God. It is a Christ-centered environment where we come together to learn about
Catholic morals, discipline and academics.
It is important that our families understand what a Catholic School is and what a
Catholic School is not.
A Catholic School is not:
Registration for returning students and incoming siblings is held in January.
Open registration for the community is held in February. Applicants are required to pay
a non-refundable application fee at the time of registration.
Admission is based on several criteria that have been developed to make selection as
objective and fair as possible and are as follows:
Admission to Kindergarten
Admission to First Grade
Transfers
Parents whose children are transferring from another school are to submit:
Upon review of all documentation, a decision will be made regarding acceptance.
Students entering our school for the first time should have a complete physical examination
before entry and present original copies of their physical exam (Form HRS #3040)
Florida law requires that all students entering a Florida school for the first time be immunized
for; diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, rubella and, measles, and
mumps and must bring to Holy Family School an immunization record (Form HRS #680).
Immunization for chicken pox is required in Florida for pre-kindergarten
and kindergarten entry. It is a one-time vaccination for children twelve
months to twelve years of age. If your child has already had the chicken pox
illness, please indicate on the immunization form.
In addition, all 7th graders must have received a Tetanus booster, Chicken pox booster, and have started the
Hepititus B series before entry to the 7th grade of Holy Family Catholic School.
Parents enrolling their child at Holy Family School are to present copies of their child's
birth and baptismal certificates.
